Link header

Why it matters

The HTTP Link header exposes typed relations without requiring the agent to download and parse the whole HTML — it can find the API catalog, the sitemap or the documentation just by looking at the response headers, before even reading the page body. It is a discovery shortcut that drastically lowers the cost for an agent to understand the site's structure.
